Just use Newegg to build your PC. You can compare all the prices as you build and see which works better for you.

Question by Testosterone Drone: What is the best Low Profile AGP video card?
My little brother is looking for a new video card, these video cards seem extremely hard to find. He’s looking for 512mb but he may have to settle for 256mb
He has a Gateway E-4100 might I add.

the best low profile AGP card i’ve found is the ATI HD 4350 512MB but it’s pretty expensive. it will run with a 250W psu (Newegg exaggerate the psu wattages).

Question by Rozman: What is the best gaming mouse for or under?
Mostly for FPS games like battlefield 3 and tf2, but also for games like starcraft 2 and minecraft.
A direct link to the spot where I can buy such a mouse would be nice. (Newegg if possible)

I personally LOVE Razer mice for FPS games. I currently have a Razer Lachesis that I got off of ebay for $ 40, when it is a $ 70 mouse. I understand wanting to buy from newegg cuz they are awesome, but I recommend searching around ebay as well. On Newegg they have this one:

its in your price range and I know it to be a pretty awesome mouse.

Question by : Any good PCI video cards out there?
ok i already consulted my techy friend about this but i want another opinion…i got a pretty decent computer and all its missing is a decent graphics card…i want to be able to play some pc games like Fallout New Vegas and others but the lousy internal graphics chip on my motherboard really sucks…so i looked on newegg.com to see what they had for a decent card(by todays standards) because all i have is 2 PCI slots and 1 PCI Express x1 slot. my friend told me that it isn’t worth buying one of these cards since the bandwidth for PCI sucks and i should buy myself a new motherboard with better inputs but this might be cost prohibitive to me since i was only planning to buy a new graphics card…so to anyone who can help me figure out what is best and if it is at all possible to get a decent performance from a PCI card i would be very grateful.(I’m sure my friend is right but i just wanted to put it out there)

The nvidia 9500gt and the ATI 4350 are the best PCI video cards available, Theyre both ok for a home theatre pc but neither are meant for gaming. Your friend is right it’s not worth the money.

For $ 50 you can get a decent brand motherboard with a PCIe slot.

I want to get a new graphics card to replace the Intel 82845 graphics thing I have.

I have a Compaq Presario SR1123WM desktop. I want to know what graphics cards are compatible to it.

Is there any site or some place I can go to check this? Or would you know which ones are?

Thanks.

Probably any GC that’s 128mb or less unless you upgrade to a new MoBo as well. Your processor seems fine.

BTW, newegg.com, fudzilla.com

Question by Serf: What is a good gaming AMD A3 motherboard?
I am trying to build a somewhat budget gaming computer, which is why I chose AMD, and was wondering what is a good motherboard for my build. I do not want a micro/mini motherboard just a regular ATX. Is there anything that I should be looking out for when I pick my motherboard? Like USB 3.0 or a certain manufacturer I need to stay away from? The price range is about $ 125.

A3? Do you mean AM3? Have you looked at Newegg.com? I have always favored Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI. But that doesn’t mean others aren’t good as well. If you have or plan on having USB 3 devices, then yes… get a board with USB 3.0 capability.

Question by : Do fanless graphics cards require a minimum power supply requirement?
I always see on websites such as Newegg that the fanless heat sink graphics cards never have a minimum power supply requirement while the ones with fans do. Does this mean if I find a really good fanless card, I can put this in ANY computer regardless of power supply? Thank you!

Best answer:

Answer by Peter
Well, it’s not the reason you are thinking of – but, yes. If the specifications do not state that they require a minimum AMP’s or recommended Watts, then of course they calculate that the card should run on just about any power supply.

Having said that, you will not find a ‘decent’ graphics card that does not have a fan. See, the power requirements are not based on whether or not a card has a fan, they are based on the performance of the GPU. A card with a decent GPU will generate quite a bit of heat. So then a fan is required, and for the GPU to run efficiently – a decent power supply is required. The fan will require only a couple of watts to run, maybe a few more at top speed. The GPU however, 100′s of watts, depending on the model of card.

What kind of card can you get without a fan? Well, you might get an old nVidia 9800 or an ATI 4350 without a fan, but nothing with serious gaming ability.

Acoustic PC specialize in silent (fanless) components. You will find the best possible fanless cards here:

http://www.acousticpc.com/silent_video_cards.html

But still, they are only 9800GT’s and GT240′s, which are hardly current top model cards.

Good luck.
