No. Typically using an add-on video card causes the onboard to disable.

Question by : Where to find graphics cards for old slots?
Does anyone know a good place to get old graphics cards? Low profile AGP or half length PCI. Theres hardly any room left in the case so the smaller the better.

Question by Testosterone Drone: What is the best Low Profile AGP video card?
My little brother is looking for a new video card, these video cards seem extremely hard to find. He’s looking for 512mb but he may have to settle for 256mb
He has a Gateway E-4100 might I add.

the best low profile AGP card i’ve found is the ATI HD 4350 512MB but it’s pretty expensive. it will run with a 250W psu (Newegg exaggerate the psu wattages).

Question by DaPinkMenace: How do Low Profile Graphics Cards fit in small desktops?
I know how to install a graphics card, but seeing some pictures of low profile graphics cards seems like they wouldn’t fit in smaller pc cases (hp slimline) because it has the portrusion with the extra video port on the top. How exactly does that fit in narrow case pcs?

You may need to get a graphics card that explicitly touts compatibility with narrow cases and comes with a special low-profile back plate since, as you’ve observed, the second video port would make fitting it into the case quite impossible.

Question by Fred: Is there a big quality difference between standard and USB microphones?
I’m interested in the Logitech USB microphone but there are two versions: One is a standard microphone with a microphone jack, the other is plugged into a USB port.
How big is the quality difference? Also, I’ve heard USB-microphones have a slightly longer delay, is this true?

To simplify things a little:
- USB offers better quality in general and longer delay. That delay should be very small and you should not detect that – however it depends on the implementation of that microphone.
- Standard microphone is affected by noise like USB mic is. In addition the signal sent from that microphone is affected by noise. As a result sound from analog microphone is in general more noisy.
I suggest that you either:
1. Buy that USB microphone. Low cost solution.
2. Buy good sound card (forget about cheap crap like most creative or cmedia) and a good analog mic. Expensive solution.
3. Do not think about it and buy cheap crappy analog mic or a webcam with microphone that is integrated in it. Cheapest choice.
